My Honest Draper James Dress Review
So far I have worn this dress casually to work from home and shopping on the weekends. It’s the epitome of a Southern fall outfit, especially styled with white sneakers, jean jacket and a straw bag. I don’t know if I would call Florida the “South” but I feel like a Southern belle every time I put this silky soft dress on.
Lets talk about the quality. The material is a viscose spandex mix meaning it’s extremely soft, stretchy and thick. When I say thick I don’t mean the non-breathable kind of material, more so like a high quality jersey feel and weight. The spandex give it the prettiest swing to it when you twirl or move! I have the Jo De Dress with the square neck line and it also comes in a scoop neck style (which is a little cheaper too) and a long sleeve version.
Draper James Brand Story
Wow do I love a great brand story. Reese named the company after her grandparents and was inspired to create the brand to remember them and their Southern lifestyle. Their logo is a Magnolia, their Nashville store is covered in baby blue and white and you can feel the warmth Southern charm all over their website. You can read the entire Draper James story here.
Draper James Sizing
I ordered my usual size Small and it seems to run very true to size. The gingham dress I have is smocked, so it is slightly more fitted in the chest and also on the sleeve elastic on the arm.
Quality
Out of all the clothes I have bought this year, I have to hands down say the Draper James dress I ordered is the highest quality item I have purchased in a while. From the fit and style to the material and pretty packaging!
