A Festive J.Crew Jumpsuit for Christmas

Can we believe that Christmas is less than 2 weeks away?! I bet every blogger is saying that but did you know that the length between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year is actually about 6 days shorter than normal?! It doesn’t just feel shorter, it truly is! With Christmas so close, I wanted to give you a little holiday inspiration for Christmas parties with friends, work parties, family gatherings, church services or if you just want to glam it up for a night around town.

Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday! I just love dressing up for Christmas Eve church service (although, the past few years I haven’t dressed up), driving around to look at lights, temps finally cooling off, getting all my Christmas shopping done, ice skating, hanging tons with my family and in Florida fashion, a beach trip!

This year I am not sure if I will be going to the Christmas Eve service at my church. If I do, I will totally wear this romper! My older sister, and little niece and nephew are coming into town for a week from NC. I am beyond excited! To be honest, my family is so low key, if I don’t end up going to church, I won’t be dressing up at all. My work is having a party but I don’t want to go, so that option for dressing up is out. ? I feel like that makes me a horrible fashion blogger but I’d rather be honest with you than fake it! If you do have a more formal or festive event to go to, this romper would be absolute perfect!

Rompers and I were made for each other. I love the sophistication, elegance and straight up easiness. No pants needed! You just slip into it, zip up and you are ready to go! I ordered a 4 and it had a smidge extra room! I could have probably sized down to a 2 for a little bit more fitted look. Usually in J.Crew I wear a size down from my reg size which is a 4. This time, I went with a 4 to make sure the romper was long enough in the torso! Ain’t nobody want a camel toe. Hashtag, tall girl problems. I should have known to get my reg size with them because J.Crew is such high quality, I never have to worry about a weird fit or something being to short. They don’t skimp on fabric which I love.

Okay, okay, the back is absolutely adorable and what originally drew me to the romper. It’s like a criss cross open back! This festive piece also comes in 5 other colors like burgundy (so fall) and navy (so classic and timeless). The ruffles top off the romper to make it extra girly. Years ago, I can’t believe I wasn’t into ruffle or girly clothes. Things sure do change!

Whenever I wear a romper, heels are usually my go-to. Especially if it has a bit of wide leg, heels help make your body and legs look so long. When styling this outfit, I knew I wanted to style it with leopard accessories. I went with leopard heels and tortoise earrings (which I’m just going to pretend their leopard here ha!). If your hesitant on wearing a bold print like leopard, start with more subtle accessories and gradually move up to pants, tops or my personal fav, a coat!

What’s On My Christmas Bucket List

Now that the holidays are in full swing and like I mentioned earlier, since my fam will be in town, I want to do all the fun Christmas-y things. It’s even been chilly the last few weeks which is a major Florida perk. Last week I already went ice skating with a few friends and my sister, saw the light display in St. Augustine and spent the day in Orlando with my mom at The Mall at Millenia Christmas shopping. This week I am cooking salt dough ornaments with my students and I think I am more excited that they are! A few other things I have on my list to do with my fam before it’s Christmas:

  • Drive around and look at lights
  • Watch the Surfing Santas in Cocoa Beach on Christmas Eve (I’ve always worked on Christmas Eve and last year I was out of town, so this is on the top of my list!!!)
  • Spend the day at Disney Springs
  • Play corn hole
  • Watch Skydiving Santa’s in Cocoa Beach (professional skydivers jump from planes and land on the beach!!! Such a FL thing ha!)
  • Wrap my presents sitting by the tree
  • Make salt dough star garland
  • Cook gluten free peanut blossoms
