Fun Non-Traditional Tropical Christmas Decoration Ideas

Happy Dec 1st! In honor of the start of my favorite season ever, I though it would be fun to dedicate a whole post to non-traditional Christmas decorating ideas! Wow, I never thought I’d love non-traditional decorating as much as I do. My idea of decorating includes lots of color and anything tropical related! This year, I chose to decorate a small Christmas tree with a tropical theme!

My entire life, it’s always been a dream of mine to have themed trees scattered all around my house. Since I only have a small bedroom to decorate, one tree has to do! When Bealls Florida reached out to me, I knew I wanted to include some of their tropical décor into my Instagram posts! Now it officially has a place to live on my blog!

Bealls has the most amazing tropical, coastal and Florida lifestyle home decor! If you have followed me for any amount of time, you know I love anything colorful, fun and tropical! It was pretty much a no brainer for me when they asked if I wanted to work with them! We decided on one “Florida fall” and one home decor Instagram post. I couldn’t just share one post about decorating and knew I had to create a blog post for unique ways to decorate for Christmas.

To bring my vision to life, I ordered this weird red/orange colored tree in the photo I saw on Home Depot. I originally wanted a very light pink fake tree with a $30 price point and thought I hit the jackpot. When it arrived I got a good laugh because it literally looked nothing like the color in the photo on the website! I was sort of on a time crunch and didn’t want to return it, so strange red/orange tree it is. I did find a similar light pink one if your looking for a 4ft pre-lit tree!

It’s kind of like an outfit. Once I had the tree, every thing fell into place! I added this flamingo tree skirt, a bunch of tropical ornaments like this pineapple pool float, this Christmas themed pillow and a light up LED pineapple! Sadly, the tree skirt and LED pineapple is sold out online. If your local to Florida, you can shop it in store!

These pretty green bottle brush trees are from World Market.

Does anyone dream of having these in every color spread in groups all over their house?! They add such fun and a pop of color to random spots like on book shelves or the top of a dresser.

Is anyone else feeling the cheer in the air?! I got back from Georgia super late Sunday night where I stayed with my family at a cabin. Ever since then, I’ve been so excited and just love this season! Jesus, presents, family, Christmas lights, holiday decorating, Christmas trees, childhood ornaments, cookies, cold weather, gift giving, it all just makes me so excited!
