Finally made it to a pumpkin patch after going to 2 patches without any pumpkins (there was a big pumpkin delay where I live)!!! During the fall, especially the start of pumpkin everything season, I love adding in textured pieces to my outfits to make the transition into fall a bit easier! Think corduroy, velvet, lightweight knits, leather and of course, raffia!
4 Warm Weather Fall Transition Pieces
Chicwish Sweater / J.Crew Factory Corduroy Skirt (on sale under $20!) / Target Loafers (similar) / Leopard Headband
Corduroy Skirt
Instead of cotton, I love switching to wearing cozy corduroy skirt in the fall! First, it makes it feel like I actually get to dress for fall and second, skirts are much for breathable than pants! J.Crew Factory is making all my fall dreams come true! J.Crew is known for repeating popular styles year after year. They had a similar skirt last season and I am so glad they made a similar style this year! The corduroy skirt is currently on sale for $19.50! That’s an incredible deal and the skirt can be worn so many way’s! I’ve already styled it with a ruffled top and knit sweater. It would look adorable paired with a floral burgundy blouse!
J.Crew Factory Corduroy Skirt Sizing
Keep in mind, the skirt runs a tad large. J.Crew and J.Crew Factory in general run large in my opinion! I am wearing a size 2 and it fits really well even with a shirt tucked it. I tried on the 4 and it fit but gave a more A-line figure and felt a tad bit large so I sized down. On my 5’8 frame, the length is great and don’t feel like anyone is going to get a show. 😉 The title says’ it’s a mini skirt yet it feels modest! If your concerned about length, keep your normal size!
Leopard Accessories
Guess what?! Leopard bow scrunchies will be coming next week to my ETSY shop! How perfect for fall, right?! I just need to take a few product photos and will release them on Instagram and stories so make sure your following me!
Every fall, it makes me so so excited to bring out all my leopard accessories and add them into my outfits like loafers, headbands, earrings and now scrunchies! They are very easy to style and look amazing with colors such as evergreen, mustard yellow, red, burgundy and ivory! Because our fall season is so short, leopard skirts, tops or dresses are usually a print I pass on buying. Recently I picked up this adorable leopard dress and have had so much fun styling it! Maybe I need more leopard pieces in my life!
Lightweight Knit Sweater
Chichwish recently sent me this cowl neck sweater. The truth is that I wore a tank under it for the photos because #fallinflorida. Besides the fact that it was way to warm out for a sweater, it’s incredibly soft and cozy. Please come cool temps…I need an excuse to actually wear this sweater! It’s slightly cropped and styles best with high waist skirts or pants.
Lightweight knits are super fun to pair with other textures like corduroy. It breaks up an outfit and gives it that “fall look”.
Loafers
My all time favorite shoe to wear are loafers! I just ordered these woven ones from Poshmark for $15! They are my new go-to shoe for fall and winter! I really love the look of a brown leather loafer but their just not practical to wear for such a short fall season. I love this backless pair to wear with dresses and jeans!
Lots of Sunshine,
Katie
