I am so in love with this pink tree. Isn’t it spectacular? It’s called a Dogwood Tree. Last year it bloomed and I completely missed the photo op before all of the flowers fell off. Florida doesn’t normally have trees that like this. This year I was determined to not miss the tree in full bloom. My boyfriend (who lives very close to the tree) text me last Sunday telling me it was ripe and ready for harvest. Meaning I was more than prepared to get a photo of the tree before the wind blew all the pretty pink flowers off.
After church, a healthy lunch to fill my belly and a quick shopping trip to Old Navy with my mama and sister, I was more than ready to see this tree. After a little convincing, we made a pit stop on the way home to visit the tree. It resides at a local park right next to a playground and it’s the only tree like that at the park. Really random, I know!
How on earth is it even that gorgeous pink? I do not know. It’s beautiful though and made my heart happy taking photos under it. Thanks God for such a beautiful tree!
This sweater was a recent sale purchase from Old Navy. It’s sold out in the red and blue stripe but you can still buy the blue striped version here. I’m wearing a Small. In my opinion the medium looked a bit sloppy. The plan is to wear the sweater with shorts or over swimsuits in the summertime after long beach days. One of my fav bloggers Carly pulled off the look super well. I honestly didn’t realize how many stripes I own until I did laundry the other day and tried to jam my sweater into my drawer. My closet and dresser are busting with them! Their such a classic and can be worn during every season. Come summertime I will be wearing this sweater on repeat with white shorts and I can’t wait!
