Leopard is everywhere this season! When I was in college, I spotted an almost identical winter coat to the one I am wearing and watched it like a hawk to go on sale. When I went to buy it at Dillard’s , it was sold out. I have regretted not buying it sooner ever since! I don’t regret much in life but every winter my mind wanders to what life would have been like with that coat in hand. #dramaticmuch ?? When LOFT came out with the most chic leopard winter coat I have ever laid my eyes on, I knew I had to jump on the opportunity to buy it.

Over the last month, I have been trying out the new Infinitely LOFT rental service. It’s a monthly subscription that allows you to create a “closet” full of your favorite items (they recommend 20 at a time). You can pick your top 5 items you want to prioritize and then they send you three items depending on availability. You can swap out as many items each month as you want and return it all for free. Once I try it out for three months, I will do a review on here for you! One of the items in my box was this leopard jacket! Once I pulled it out of the box, I knew I couldn’t part ways with it.
It’s sold out in XS and S. For those who love the coat and wear those sizes, I found a very similar option. Wearing a leopard coat is like an instant confidence boost. Feeling drab?! Just put on the coat? Wanting to look hot for a night on the town?! Leopard coat to the rescue. Freezing your butt off in 40 degree weather, Hello faux-fur coat that keeps me warm! I like the length, the sleeves are roomy enough to still wear a think sweater and it buttons easily with snaps. It pairs well with everything from skinny jeans to skirts and dresses!
I will admit, even I a fashion lover was a bit nervous to wear this leopard coat to school for work. Those days of judgement in the high school cafeteria are way behind me but man, sometimes those same thoughts of, “What will these people think of me” creep in. How did I get over my fear?! I just reminded myself that I love it and that I don’t dress for anyone else but me. If you are still on the hesistant side and want to try out leopard in a more toned down way, a great way to start is with accessories like my velvet leopard headband! I’ve been wearing this headband with everything like skirts, dresses and even shorts!
One of my goals this year is to shop more sustainable. I have built up quite a few pieces in my wardrobe from places like Everlane and 31 Bits. One place that did surprise me was that H&M carries a conscious collection. They have a big selection of sustainable items and this cable knit sweater was one of them! I was surprised at home many sustainable items they do have! Here’s to shopping more sustainable in 2020!

How was your Christmas and New Years?! In blogging world, it feels like forever since we caught up?! I hope you got to enjoy time with your family, got plenty of rest and feel refreshed for 2020! So excited for an even numbered year…it’s bound to be a good one! During the week of Christmas I had family in town (we played so many card games!) and then took a NYE trip to Tallahassee with my sister and our mutual friend. We explored campus and soaked up truly cold weather with 0 humidity. We were in heaven and the parks up there are absolutely beautiful!
The last two weeks I have been off work which has been amazing in so many ways! I’ve been able to organize, clean out my closet, squeeze in a workout, wrote a recap post of 2019, use my new goal planner I got for Christmas and even got some fun blog planning started for the year! There’s so many thoughts and posts I always have brewing in my head that never make it into existence. This year it’s my goal to take major action on them and implement instead of just daydreaming about them. Here’s to an amazing year of blogging!
