On Sunday it was my younger sisters 25th Birthday. We skipped church, drove to Orlando for the day and ate at Bahama Breeze for lunch (her restaurant of choice). Then in the afternoon we made our way to Winter Park and walked around Park Avenue. I wore my currently favorite peasant blouse from LOFT tucked in with dressy LOFT shorts. Knowing we’d be walking around a bunch, I wanted to keep it casual but still look a bit dressy.

Look how fun! Bahama Breeze had the game of corn hole set up outside in the front of the restaurant. Since we were eating outside, we played until your food come out. That’s the Birthday girl by the way!

LOFT is one of my favorite stores ever. I worked there all throughout college (hello discount that I miss!) and to this day I still shop there all the time. Nothing beats the quality of their clothes. LOFT always has a mix of super casual items but then also really dressy pieces like the blouse I’m wearing. The material is polyester so it has a really nice drape to it. I prefer to wear the shirt tucked in but it would look just as cute worn loose with jeans. It’s also a perfect top to be worn when you are experiencing cool morning and nighttime temps. Once it gets to warm, I ditch any polyester or long sleeves and stick straight to cotton.
I will say, I tired to style these shorts with a chambray button up top and it just did not look right. I prefer to wear these shorts with tops that add movement. If I were to wear something tight, I’d stick to a form fitting top with 3/4 length sleeves or find a crop top with a scoop back. You could also wear a loose top like this white off the shoulder crop top. I’d love to find a top like that in a chambray material and wear it with high waisted skirts during the summer. Summertime is always on my mind!
Here’s how I styled the peasant top with jeans.
