These days it’s all about casual and comfy! Usually, for my go-to work from home outfits, I rotate between dresses and rompers to shorts and cute tops to keep it cute but extra comfortable. With not many places to go and my fav espadrilles out of the equation, I love wearing girly sneakers! Their better than a running shoe and much much cuter! Even during the work week and weekends, I put shoes on to feel more dressed up and put together.
When I was in Palm Beach for an interview before all the coronavirus stuff started, I ate lunch at the Royal Poinciana Plaza and I saw all these girls wearing the cutest dresses with sneakers. It was a trend I had not actually seen much out “in the wild” but I instantly loved what I saw. My small town isn’t exactly the fashion capital of the world, so it inspired me for this post for sure!!!

Making A Dress Casual with Sneakers
There are two types of dresses I really like to wear with sneakers and those are midi dresses, like the one I’m wearing and mini or above the knee dresses. Anything longer and I don’t love the way sneakers look. My favorite sneakers at the moment full of color and stripes are these Keds X Rifle Paper Co, on sale under $40. I am obsessed with shoes that match multiple outfits!
White sneaks are the best because they match with everything and you can find them at any price point. I love this canvas pair, under $40, and this leather pair with a hot pink tab, under $100. How cute is the colorful tabs on the sneakers! These also make great travel or weekend shoes.

How are you all doing!? Did anything open up for your town during Phase 1. A bunch of the beaches by my house opened up this weekend and I checked it out on Saturday for a few hours. The funny thing is that all of the parking and most beach accesses are still closed and taped off but we are allowed on the actual beach. Silly yes but I can’t complain! The water is still pretty chilly yet it didn’t stop me from jumping in to cool off.
Sunday I went to a beautiful sunflower farm with my fam and picked sunflowers to bring home. It was definitely odd “doing something” for the first time other than lay by the pool and take walks. After we came home and I swam in the pool and took a walk ha. Quarantine or no quarantine, I think that shows I still like living a pretty simple life. I am super excited for Phase 2 and 3! That means I get to see my gym friends again soon!
Lots of Sunshine,
Katie
