Happy Easter Friends!!! Know that I am SO grateful for you and this sunny community. Never in my wildest dreams would I have expected to run a fashion blog and get to do something I love and connect with so many unique and interesting people like you! This Easter at home is deff something all of us have never experienced before and it really makes me so happy and excited that we are all truly going through life together right now. Even in the midst of so much heartache and unknown, there is still so much good I see and am thankful for.
I know this post is a little late, (I blame it on Coronavirus un-motivation ?) but there’s still time for some late to the game Easter dressing ideas. What screams Easter more than pastels, am I right?! The weather here has warmed up and pretty much feels like summer. As much as I want to, I can no longer allow myself to put on a pretty pastel colored sweater to have an Easter egg hunt or lounge on the couch with my fam. Instead, I have on a pastel blue colored dress with light pink earrings. So, if you are experiencing a cooler Easter, mix and match your pastels sweaters and pants. Us warm climate people can opt for dresses, tanks, shorts or Easter inspired swimsuits.
Sunny Outfit Details
J.Crew Factory Sweater / Gap Pants / Target Woven MulesĀ (UnderĀ $25) / Basket Bag / Headband (Under $10 for 3 pack)
I bought this minty colored sweater years ago from Old Navy (similar here under $25) and somehow it’s escaped my Spring closet clean out every single time. The shape is so classic with a crew neck and looks really pretty tucked into skirts or high waisted bottoms like my pastel pink corduroy pants.
My blogger friends Emily, Hailey and I shot these photos a week before the world basically shut down. Looking at them makes me really happy and gives me hope I will be traveling back to Palm Beach in no time. I was there to shoot some photos for an article I wrote about a girls weekend trip down South (not sure how relevant that article will be now HA!). Waiting for the magazine to be published is sort of like Christmas morning! I’m excited to see the photos and article in print!
Katie here with her favorite straw accessories, AGAIN! I am sure I sound like a broken record but really though, they are my most worn items in my closet including my favorite woven mules from Target (under $25). They get so much wear and tear that I have been thinking about buying the same pair to keep for next year!
What Easter Means To Me
Everything! To me it means there’s hope and good things to come. There’s no Easter without Jesus. Everyday I am reminded that even though there is so much sickness and pain and suffering, Jesus came to our earth as a human bring. TO SAVE THE EARTH AND HEAL US!!! That’s really good and hopeful. I know it sounds so so backwards and whatever background you come from, there’s no judgement here. Sometimes its hard for me to wrap my head around.
Do I understand why things like Coronavirus happen, not totally. I do know that Jesus is greater than any doctor, He understands things we don’t and that all we have to do is believe and acknowledge God is real. There is more hope in our world today than yesterday. My belief in God is deep and in those quiet moments, nothing seems more real to me and it gives me a peace like nothing else. It doesn’t mean there’s never problems but I know I’m safe and taken care of. God (or Easter) means that illnesses have to leave the Earth, things will be rebuilt there is truly light at the end of the tunnel.
Easter to me means…
We will conquer everything that we are battling!
Love is amazing and real and so so true! Just look @tanksgoodnews!
Life…God is alive. He gives us breath!
Joy. God is the most happiest and joy-est person alive. Laughing is so fun, right!?
There is hope! We will get to leave our houses again and can live in peace!
