The Floral Midi Dress I Plan on Wearing All Winter

Every winter I always have big dreams to wear all the layers like boots, colorful chunky sweaters, and pea coats everyday. Then reality hits and I realize I don’t live in a cold place with snow like so many on my Instagram feed. Instead I to turn to wearing dresses with boots! I truly don’t think I could live in a really cold place with long winters. Instead, I’ll just visit them!

Actually, I love styling boots with dresses. It’s the simplest combination. When I buy dresses for fall/winter I love to shop for warmer tones like mustard yellow, burgundy and of course navy floral prints. To add an extra layer, add a jean jacket!

My absolutely favorite bag to carry in the winter is my leather J.Crew Signet Bag. If you watch for J.Crews sales, you can score the purse for under $100 like I did! It’s a winter essential for sure and is such high quality for the price.

Most of my booties are all neutral colors. I would recommend buying a light colored ankle boot and a nude color.

Hope your all having a super great week! Not much new around here. We get some low temps this week, like right now it’s only about 55. That means I get to wear more than boots and dresses! This week I get to sub at one of my favorite high schools. The kids are soooo well behaved and it’s a fairly easy day.

Tonight I have a fun group hangout with a bunch of people from church. We meet every Wednesday, have a short Bible study, play fun games on the Switch and just get to have a fun night. The switch is actually pretty cool and I love the games where you use your cell phone to type in answers.

Last week we played anonymously and it was hilarious. The week before I did’t bring my cell phone to completely unplug and I was so upset when I couldn’t play the game. You can bet I brought it the next week! Anyone else use a switch before?
