If there is one item that I own that is extremely comfortable, it’s these high-waisted corduroy wide leg pants! When it comes to dressing, I am ALL about making sure I feel comfortable and stylish. The two can go hand in hand!
Before I get into it, I want to say that I am praying you all are safe, healthy and finding things to do to keep yourself entertained! In these very odd, strange and super super unknown days ahead, (I mean no one’s gone through a mass toilet paper pandemic before, not even us yearly hurricane survivors), I will still be posting positive, happy and stylish content for you! If I have the time to bring a little joy to your day, I figure why not?!
Our beaches just closed officially today which I thought was a little dramatic (just my personal opinion). Of all places, I never expected those to close since their so open, you can go hundreds of feet away from people and the salt water is pretty harsh as far as germs go.
Still looking for the positive in all of this. You know me, I’m an optimist through and through. I actually love being home, reading and catching up on fun craft projects. There are so many opportunities do to things you haven’t gotten to, daydream and prepare for what’s next after all of this. In the next few days, I will write up a post on ideas on what to do when stuck inside! At least we’re in this together.

Wide leg pants are great for those in between seasons for weekend BBQ’s, spring break trips and more! They really are such a fun pant, comes in petite, reg and tall! I’m wearing a size 6 in the regular lenght, so I’d say they run a little on the smaller side. If your stuck in deciding, size up from your reg size. It’s a miracle that the wide leg pants are actually in stock and under $25! Lately, this fashion blog game and keeping up has been hard!
I love pairing mine with everything from blouses and short sleeved tops tucked in. When it’s on the warmer side, tank tops are my go-to. During October, my mom and I ran to our local Dillard’s and found all these amazing summer pieces on super sale. That’s where this adorable peplum tank is from and I was able to find a little more subtle yet similar style! Shopping sales in the off months is one of the ways you can really find great deals. I’ve shopped like that since I was young and never have to forgo quality for price.
A little trick when styling wide leg pants. Tops that are more form fitting will help the pants stand not stand out as much like the drastic silhouette my peplum top creates. On the other hand, if you do want to wear something like a ruffled blouse, make sure the ruffles are heavier on the top. It will help create a silhouette shape and balance out the wide leg.
Super super excited it’s straw bag season again. I never left my beloved bags and wore them all throughout winter, just less than Spring and Summer. My absolute favorite type of straw bags are ones that looks like true round baskets totes. There’s not much more to say, they match with everything, just make sure they are big enough to fit all of your daily necessities like snacks, wallet and cell phone.
LOL ^. A car drove by and beeped when Danielle, a fellow Florida fashion blogger, was shooting these photos of me in Winter Park. This is me caught mid wave. If your going to make a scene, I will share the love right back. ??? Danielle was sweet enough to ask me to collaborate by creating a few Florida inspired Spring Break outfits for our readers. You can check out the post on her blog here.
