I’m so excited to be sharing my VETTA Capsule crop top with you guys! I bought it last summer but had to wait a few months before I received it in the mail because it was still in production when I ordered it.
There are two amazing things about this top, 1) it’s ethically made in the USA and 2) it’s a part of a two piece set that comes with a matching skirt! When you pair the two together it looks like a dress! See how I first wore the 2 piece dress set here.
Unfortunately the two piece dress (I’m wearing the crop top) has sold out but they do have it available in a size Medium if anyone is interested! For those who like the dress, they do have an almost identical style in a solid black color and a solid stripe.
This top holds major bonus points in my book because it can be worn alone as a crop top or with the matching skirt to look like a dress. You almost never find pieces that can be worn more than one way! Knowing where the top is made and the quality/softness of the dress set is worth the higher price tag. The best thing about VETTA is knowing that any item you purchase from them is made responsibly from the fabric to the packaging and buttons they use.
I tend to shy away from really short crop tops because I feel so odd showing skin out in public (when I’m not at the beach) and it makes me feel really uncomfortable. Thankfully I have found a way around that. I don’t mind showing a bit of skin but I prefer to wear a crop top with either a high waisted skirt or shorts.
If you prefer a chambray look like this without exposing skin, this dress and this dress give you a similar look without the crop top. You can also pair a chambray top with a high waisted skirt to recreate the look I’m wearing above.
I’m really excited to wear this top a ton during the summer months. Most likely I’ll pair it with my white ruffled J.Crew shorts because they are high enough I don’t have to worry about a crazy amount of skin exposure. If your feeling really matchy matchy you can pair this embroidered crop top with matching chambray shorts to create a two-piece romper look.
Hope you guys are having a good week. It’s Wednesday which means were halfway there to the weekend! It’s been so rainy and gloomy here. I’m not used to having absolutely zero sun day after day. As soon as the drizzly rain stops, I’m beelining it to the beach to take a swim. Be sure to stop back on Friday. I’ll be sharing about some of my favorite pool floats for summer!
